"Good customer service and nice rooms, but too much loitering around area. Random people sitting outside in lawn chairs in the parking lot. Not a good look. Other than that, decent hotel. "

"The shade in our window didn’t work so we had light coming in all night. The pool was closed for a long time they told us 30 minutes and ended up being two hours. "
"This hotel was truly a gem! It's located in a beautiful neighborhood with lots of shopping and restaurants to try. Me and my husband stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. There is plenty of free parking for the hotel guest which is very rare for Chicago and it's surrounding areas. It is also in close proximity to downtown Chicago. The room was very spacious and clean and we loved the old charm of the decor. The only thing that was not the best was that the king size bed was a little too hard for our liking. But we were able to fix that by getting an extra comforter to make it softer. We loved the jazz music that was playing in the lobby, so soothing. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Chicago. "
"This was a very affordable and comfortable stay. Had a mini fridge and a microwave but No frills or extras. Just the necessities which was fine by me and my husband. We stayed because it was just a few miles from a Music Festival we attended. It also had a small desk and a chair. We got the king room. I only wish that it had at least one other chair so we both could have sat in a chair to eat instead of on the floor or bed but that wasn't a huge deal. The staff let us know that we have to ask for extra towels, blankets/sheets etc since we were staying a few nights in a row since they don't do daily room service. There are some scuffs here and there but that kind of stuff never bothers me but if you are a perfectionists it might. I would absolutely stay here again."
"At one point, Rainbow Motel.may have been down, but the new owners are worki g to turn the experience around. What you get: a clean room with TV and a comfortable bed and shower. But, youre also RIGHT across from arguably one of the BEST bakeries in the country (Weber's Bakery -fresh morning sonuts and pastries), around the corner from Chicago's most popular beef sandwich (Portillo's), within a 2 minute walk of several other restaurants as well as an Aldi, Walgreens and Ace Hardware. BUT... the big perk is a stop on the Archer line out front 50' away. (also a late night bus if you do a late Chocago night) and 1.5 mins walk from the OHare (330) bus. These things made it an ideal cheap stay in a clean room for someone who flew in and out with no car for a music festival. It was SUPER easy to get around and time transit. And dont overlook that late night bus perk. That said, if this is a family vacation, do your homework, but it was an easy yes for a single or couple of adults travelling on a budget. "
