Very cosy room, very clean and warm. Only issue was the walls were quite thin.

Room was themed as a Mexican sombrero. Very novel. Clean and tidy with parking outside the front door. Breakfast was continental style and extremely good. Happy to recommend and would certainly book again if in the area.

Good welcome. Room easy to find and staff helpful with information for our short stay. Breakfast available was good

Stopped here for one night and glad we did so. Huge storm arrived with us and the hotel was the perfect place to relax and wait for the storm to clear. Big room, great staff and unexpected but welcome delicious free breakfast. Didn't get a chance to enjoy the pool or fitness room, but looked good.

Lovely hotel and staff

Excellent historic railroad hotel with delightful staff. The connoisseurs choice and worth diverting to stay in (it’s a funky town too). No food service early in the week. I think someone had been grooming a Newfoundland in the bathroom and housekeeping somehow hadn’t spotted the new carpet that had formed but small fry in the bigger picture.

On arrival we were greeted and checked in swiftly and professionally. The room, however, was not the one we had booked originally, after a call to front desk, and Tommy the GM, intervention we were allocated another room. Matthew, who has recently started at the hotel, helped us with our luggage, and even arranged and brought a microwave up to our room, he was pleasant and nothing seemed too much trouble. Overall very good but plumbing was noisy. If neighbours used shower or bathroom the noise was very loud. Also, cleaning staff start very early and were noisy (singing!) before 6.45am
