"EXCEPTIONAL in every way. From the well appointed rooms to the stellar staff, The Civilian shined. I was shocked at how quiet the rooms were especially since the hotel is in close proximity to Times Square. We felt a million miles away from the hustle and bustle even though it was steps away. We stayed in a "Cozy" room and it felt much larger than 130 square feet. The design and efficiency plus the feng shui of the space made it feel like home. There are 3 restaurants/bars on the property with complimentary coffee and tea every day (2nd floor). From check in to departure, all of our needs were exceeded. We will stay here again. Bravo to the staff and the genius owner who conceptualized this gem."

"If you are going for a short trip and do not need a lot of space, this is great. My daughter and I came in to town for a show and this was easy to get to from the train. Close to the show as well. Will stay here again."

"Location was great. But honestly I would not stay here again. I booked a room with a king bed and a sofa bed. The sofa bed had a paper thin mattress. Super uncomfortable. I ended up putting the mattress on the floor in order to get some sleep. Our room was next to the stairs, too much noise. We got a connecting room and the people next to us made so much noise. The bedroom was extremely small, barely any room to walk and the bathroom same thing. Not happy at all. Not recommended "
