Good value, convenient location

We were happy to spend our evenings in the hotel bar. Well situated - within walking distance or short taxi ride of town centre, and in a lovely quiet area. Would definitely stay there again and have recommended it to friends. Staff were extremely helpful and polite.

One of the nicest hotel from the owner to smallest employee they are the best , I never forget that they helped me on my car problem they did a great job. Thank you for everything.

I chose this hotel as it was well suited for my meetings, my room and the overall hotel had a very modern feel and the stafff were very polite and professional. Gettign dinner in the evening was only downside as one restaurant was closed and so i ended up on rooftop bar which was nice but was more a party atmosphere with posh tapas and i was only person with ym laptop

Excellent hotel in a great location. One of the best value for money stays we have had in many years. The staff are wonderful, particularly on the reception desk. The complimentary soft drinks and snacks are a real bonus and the honesty bar for alcoholic drinks is such good value. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone visiting Munich

Hotel was in a beautiful village on the Danube. The hotel was refurbished in 2015. The rooms are comfortable, very clean and spacious. It could get warm in a hot summer's day. The bathroom door is half clear and this can be a little off-putting if one person is still in bed! The Continental breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. A fantastic small hotel. Not centrally located, but with Munich’s excellent public transport, this was never a problem. Staff were unbelievably good. The area around the hotel is beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommend this hotel.

A suprisingly quiet and calm location in downtown Munich.

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Excelsior in Munich. The location is excellent — very convenient for public transport and within easy reach of the city centre and many of Munich’s main attractions. The hotel was comfortable, clean and well maintained, but what impressed me most was the service. The staff were professional, friendly and genuinely helpful throughout my stay, which made the whole experience even better. Quiet residential street, very central, fantastic breakfast and polite, helpful staff. Great balcony overlooking the courtyard. The only negative was the small bathroom.

Perfect base to explore Munich!

The hotel was perfect! Only 3 stops on the bus to the nearest railway station (good when you have suitcases) and a short walk to the underground. The room was very clean. When we discovered a fault with the hairdryer it was fixed instantly. The free laundry room was a nice bonus. I would definitely stay here again.

I was impressed with the staff, the warmth of our reception upon checking in, the style and comfort of the rooms, and that all this was provided in a superb location at a reasonable price. Exactly what I would look for in a short stay at a boutique hotel. Brilliant.
