The nicest place I’ve stayed in a long time. Wonderful staff and a lovely hotel

With an airport hotel there is an expectation that they will be functional but have no character this hotel is an exception. We were very pleasantly surprised to find how good this hotel was. Wonderful, modern cottage with highly attentive and friendly staff on-site.

Beautiful, cosy but large resort. Had a great stay as the staff are super friendly and the facilities are great. The only thing that annoyed me was that they add a 7 NZD charge to each room service delivery! Besides that, a great stay and I would definitely go there again!

Fabulous service, small intimate hotel and lovely food.

A very luxurious hotel with large rooms and a private spa with hot tub which we enjoyed. The room was clean and spacious. The staff were lovely and the dinner was delicious and great value.

What a superb place this is. From customer friendly staff throughout to the smallest details. Everything is carefully thought about, delivered to the highways standards, mindful of the environmental impact each service may have. Sustainable, tasty food, recycled products, nothing wasted without compromise on quality of product or service. We highly recommend Gibbston Valley. 10/10 all round.

Very enjoyable 2 night stay at the end of our New Zealand holiday. Chloe and the rest of the Team at Reception were very helpful and friendly. I had an excellent stay at Radisson RED Auckland. The hotel was modern, clean, and in a great location. What made the experience outstanding was the staff—every single team member was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. Their warm hospitality made me feel welcome from check-in to check-out. We didn’t have breakfast but had dinner twice in the restaurant which was fabulous. The staff were excellent particularly Tarin and Billy. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Perfectly situated for our sightseeing. 10/10.

Return visit after 35 years ! It has gone a bit more upmarket but overall had not changed much . Still very comfortable, clean and convenient for everything beautiful Christchurch has to offer. Loved George the bear who went on to travel all over New Zealand for 3 month with us . Hope to be back before the next 35 years !

We stayed in the Rees for our last 2 nights in NZ, after a 3-week holiday touring the country, and enjoyed our time there. This was the only 5-star hotel we visited in during the holiday, and the lake view room was fantastic with good views from the balcony. We arrived at the hotel at about 10:15 to drop off our cases but we were able to check-in and were given our room keys - we had an amazing Junior Suite which was spotlessly clean, good selection of toiletries and tea/coffee - breakfast the next morning (payable as not included) was a very good selection of continental breakfast and full hot breakfast
