Afterwards we were invited to a meditation session and in the morning you can attend the morning ceremony. Breakfast is served and at 10 you can check out but leave your stuff to explore. A must stay if you are in Koyasan!"

We want to call out ‘Mikki’ who was super kind and helped us with any language barriers we had. The entire restaurant staff was amazing and we are grateful to meet the chef. The onsens were also wonderful. A room here with breakfast and dinner included is an excellent value."

"Stale old place that doesn’t live up. Breakfast consisted of persimmon-hushing from a store tossed at the table the night before. Cold water and a tiny toilet only. The onsen „experience“ was a 20 min drive away, how relaxing is that. Needless to say, I did not stay at this dump. I booked a hotel close by for the same price, it was excellent and delivered an amazing breakfast too, besides having an in-House onsen"
