"The front desk person wasn’t super friendly and we were supposed to get a bottle of wine with our stay which we didn’t, but other than that it’s a great place to stay . "A lovely stay at Empire Riverside Hotel. Second time we stay here. The location is fantastic – right by St. Pauli and very closeto Reeperbahn, yet still calm enough to relax and enjoy the view. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is modern and welcoming. The breakfast is amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. A very special thank you for being so kind to our dog. It meant a lot that our four-legged companion was made to feel welcome as well."

"Room was clean, as were the separate toilet and shower facilities. It was just that I had economised too much. I should have paid extra for a proper room with a private bathroom and ample room for my luggage. Staff were really good and helpful. There was a reasonable bar in the wider reception area. This was also the area where a buffet breakfast was served. It was an "eat all you can" buffet, but the choice was very limited. No hot food at all. And the room was too small to accommodate all...
