"Enjoyed a very relaxing 2 night stay at this hotel, which is located down on the seafront providing fabulous early morning views of the surrounding area. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food is outstanding - the best fish'n chips meal ever!! The roast dinner on the Sunday is not to be missed with extra gravy if required - said with a smile as it was offered so earnestly by the waiting team. The room was spacious, comfy bed and clean bathroom with good amenities. Love this place and would highly recommend - I will definitely be visiting again. Thank you to all the Beaches Team."

"The room was clean but the bed was small. We were in a room with a great view of the Mersey but it was directly above a restaurant where there was loud music all night until 11pm. The hot breakfast station is quite small so there is a bit of a queue in the morning."

"We arrived on the Friday evening and had a quick check in with very helpful and friendly staff. Dinner in the hotel was good but quite expensive. There are local pub restaurants a short drive up the road or a walk into village . The views are amazing as we had an executive room with patio facing the estuary. The views of the castle and town to the left and to the right the village were very pleasing to the eye and I spent a great deal of time just watching the world go by on the patio. The room was clean and well stocked . The downside of this spa hotel is the fact that guests can only use the pool and sauna/ steam room ect either early in morning or from 5pm onwards. Absolutely atrocious as the cost of hotel isn’t cheap. If weather is bad you are unable to use the facilities as they favour non guests over guests. The treatments are quite expensive but good. I would stay again but very disappointed of limited time allowed in pool. As you can imagine come 5pm it can get busy as weekend ."

"Upon checking in, the girl was so lovely, professional and helpful. Hotel room was nice, outside there was building work, but it didnt impact inside. The guy working in Starbucks inside was really bubbly."

"Hotel is in a good location. Warm friendly greeting at reception. Room was ok in first inspection, but carpets needed a deep clean, and pain on the curtains. Lack of some amenities such as bottled water, safe & biscuits. Not bad value. Breakfast was ok, but was very busy so a bit of queueing needed."

"The hotel was in a lovely location. The rooms have a fridge and basic cooking facilities. Great for walking to a lot of places. Parking at hotel was expensive but other parking in the area was about the same. The hotel parking was very secure and at hotel. Breakfast was really good variety of hot and cold foods. Staff were very polite & friendly"

"Sadly nobody was around to check us in so we were waiting around in the lobby for a while trying to find a member of staff. When somebody finally arrived she was gruff and unwelcoming. The property and grounds are beautiful. The room was very pleasant and comfortable but unfortunately there was zero hot water so both my daughter and I had the joy of a freezing cold shower in the morning. The breakfast was delivered by a very friendly and attentive waitress but unfortunately the beans, bacon and egg were all cold whereas the hash brown and sausage were very hot so I assume the chef left the plate to go cold whilst the other items cooked. Overall I’d be willing to try the place again but we did experience some fundamental issues that did detract from the stay sadly. "
