"I have been staying at this Microtel almost once a month for the past two and a half years. I have never been disappointed. From the clean rooms to the friendly staff and the great location , I will continue to stay again and again as long as I need to be in Penn Yan. And thank you to front desk Lizzie for always remembering me !"

Plum Point Lodge

"This will be two reviews as we had two consecutive stays (extended). Charming property with direct access and view of lake with pier. Fire pit was great place to meet other travelers. We did not stay at the yurts but I did hear they were nice. The room was decent and clean. It is a little small, but didn't spend a great deal of time in it. The second room the AC is/was a little loud. There is paved parking in front and packed gravel in the back (so if on motorcycle is good to know) There was a dorm fridge in both rooms if you had leftovers from a restaurant, but no way to heat. Also, pretty rural and everything is a drive (I liked), but restaurants close early if they are not busy-so if you do not eat by 8PM your next meal may be breakfast. They have locally made muffins, coffee, and tea. They also have a breakfast menu at their restaurant-but we did not use. There is one cleaning during your stay, so don't be a bum. I would have to problems staying again here and several folks I met at the fire-pit were returnees."

"This is a very reasonable and affordable place to stay as a solo or family traveler. It's a small independent motel that feels like a throwback to the 80s or 90s with actual metal room keys and decor that feels like your Grandma's spare room. The pool is well maintained and clean; the room I stayed in was decently cleaned but the maid definitely needed to check under the bed after the last guests left. The deluxe king bed room itself was enormous for a family of three just spending one night. Be aware that other guests may hang out on rocking chairs outside of their rooms chatting and drinking beer on a weekend evening till midnight, but no one was rude or rowdy."
