"The breakfast is the bare minimum for a hot breakfast. The breakfast room is the issue as it small and cramped. Not a pleasant experience. The location is also a bit rough on the eyes. The bed and sheets and pillows are serviceable. Its a motel with lipstick. Overall do not recommend for a family with young kids."

"First of all, this is a motel at best. The staff we talked to was very blunt and honestly felt somewhat rude. The room itself was dirty, there was visible dirt on the walls by the light switches where people had obviously been touching it, holes in the wall, and the door almost didn't close fully? you could see lights from around the entire door frame and with a road facing door, it was very loud. Found bugs in the bathroom which was tiled in a way that was definitely designed to hide dirt so who knows how dirty it was. My friend had also accidentally left something at the hotel and called THE SAME DAY we checked out, was told to call back in the morning, and essentially was jerked around for 3 days before they were told that they threw their item away because it wasn't "worth keeping" or some BS. I wouldn't recommend. Out of all the hotels I've been to (travel 3+ times a year) it has been by far the worst. I don't normally write reviews but yikes."

"I do not like leaving terrible reviews but we had a horrible time. I haven’t had a terrible experience like this since before having kids but now travelling as a family, it was awful. There was a party going on in the hotel so it was really loud the elevators are old. The floor in which we stayed in smelled like weed as if people were just casually smoking up and down the hallway. Our room was very very dated. Make sure you bring your own cords and some of the outlets did not work. The room itself needed alot of work old carpets old cabinets. I’ll say the room was spacious tho and the bathroom was the only place that was remodeled. It was a very busy weekend as there were so many people in and out so I’m sure if I had asked for another room it wouldn’t matter. Overall won’t be staying again. I read ppl have enjoyed their stay here so maybe it was just our luck that day. Also not enough staff to accommodate the influx of customers checking in."

"We loved the history of the mansion and the grounds. However, the staff didn't seem to be able to handle all of the guests and events happening at the same time very well. There was a wedding party at night that was so loud that my friend had to move her room after being told by staff that it would be over at 10 pm (when we got back to the hotel) then changed it to 11 pm but it was still very loud. While most of the staff was nice and helpful, the breakfast crew and setup was extremely disappointing. We only stayed one night and went to get coffee at the restaurant at 9 am and found a continental breakfast which was surprising because the website indicated a $15 charge. When we asked the staff for the price, they said it depended on our package. Okay that's fair. We tried to find a bagel, croissant or toast and there was nothing but a few scraps. We asked the staff if they would replenish them and they said "sure" then walked away and never replenished or returned. Also, the parking had alot to be desired because of the two weddings that day that were filled up with guests and caterers. We will stay somewhere else next visit."
