I had a lovely stay at Aberley House, whilst taking in 2 days golf at Royal Birkdale for the British Open. The location was great and just a 10 minute walk to the train station and local amenities. Plenty of parking available and I found the property very clean and the host was very helpful. The games room was an extra bonus. Breakfast was very good and I would stay here again if in the area.

Had trouble finding it and accessing the gate, due to 4 emails being received with information and missed the info I needed, although the access codes had been provided. Once I arrived it was all good with dedicated parking and a lovely clean flat with everything I needed set in an Victorian estate.

This was my second visit to Liverpool and the first time using a hotel, I was drawn in by the outside look of the hotel then when I saw the rooms and then how good the price was I was sold. When I got there it was clear the area was quite close to anything I'd need and less than 10 minutes from central station which was perfect. Lovely characterful inn, welcoming and friendly saff, great food both in the evening and breakfast

Attention to detail, everything was spotlessly clean. Good shower, nice towels. Refreshments in room.Friendly hosts. Lovely breakfast, cooked to perfection. Bar if you fancy a tipple. My only slight negative was lack of blackout blinds or drapes, was awake very early as the room was flooded with light. But everything else spit on. Thank you Diane & Chris.

The owners have done a wonderful job in making the hotel spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated with every bit of detail. Even the car park and waste bins are immaculate. The breakfasts are cooked and presented in a style that could compete with a Michelin chef. Easy walking distance to the main town with beautiful sea views. It’s a gem and a credit to the owners. Our stay was excellent, clean & very comfortable room, Nigel and Kath were very nice host nothing was to much trouble for them if you needed anything. Breakfast was really good choice of cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast, full English breakfast, fruit juice & tea or coffee. Lovely dining room very homely and comfortable very well set out. Outstanding property with easy access and great communication beforehand. The place is a joy to stay at set in a beautiful area, well located to amenities, very quiet, no noise or hassle from owners, well equipped internally, good internet, easy parking, comfy bed, great kitchen and bathroom and great value for money. We enjoyed our stay at Abbeylands and would definitely recommend it. We were are a party of 7 adults and 5 children staying for a 50th birthday celebration which involved a visit to nearby zip world (less than 40 mins away.) There were some minor maintenance issues (e.g. toilet seat loose; dishwasher stuck on very long programme) but these did not detract from a lovely stay in a beautiful house. 12 friends staying for a 60th birthday, the house is spotless & great layout. Seats for all in the lounge & openplan kitchen. The beds were very comfortable. Only an 8 minute walk to shops, pubs & restaurants. Would stay here again.

I can't recommend Hawkstone Hall highly enough. The location is just stunning, as is the house. Yet despite the grandeur of the place, I never felt anything but totally at ease. The food was easily some of the best I've had, but if I had to choose one thing that really stood out about Hawkstone Hall it was the fact that every member of their staff was an absolute delight.

Straightforward check in, Very nice room with functional layout. I liked the room because it was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. The TV is slightly ‘too’ smart and seems to feel the need to switch itself on in the middle of the night. This could do with sorting out.

My wife and I stayed over on a Saturday night, with me going to watch the football and my wife going shopping. We then met at 6pm and had a terrific evening in Liverpool. We arrived early morning on the Saturday and were happily allowed to leave the car in the hotel car park.
