"The kitchen staff was the reason I did not give this hotel 5 stars. I have no idea what that lady’s problem was but she was rude. I would not go as far as to say she’s racist, but she definitely seemed to have a problem when we (a black family) came down for breakfast. She seemed to hover over everything we went near and had a short snippy attitude if we asked for anything. The first day, I let it slide. It was reported to the front desk on the second day. I ended up buying pots and pans and prepared food in our room the rest of the stay. We only needed to go downstairs for coffee and didn’t even enter the breakfast area at all on the third or fourth day. She did not make us feel comfortable or welcome. The front desk staff was extremely friendly, gave excellent recommendations for things to do in the area and we felt very welcome. The cleaning lady upstairs deserves 5 stars. She was very pleasant and just a friendly person. The hotel room was clean. The beds were comfortable and everything I expected from the Best Western brand. The only complaint we had was the woman working the kitchen from September 4-7."

"This property is on the lake with terrific waterfront rooms and beautiful sunsets! It is located just off the QEW freeway so convenient to access but no shopping or dining options nearby other than the onsite restaurant which is pricey. The food was very good but service not so great and they do not serve breakfast. The hotel offers a very limited muffins, bagels & toast as a "continental breakfast" but do not expect much to select from and even the staff apologized for it without my saying anything. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful so I would stay here again!"

"The property is conveniently located off the major highway through the city, breakfast was fine (scrambled eggs, a protein, usually sausage patties, and the usual assortment of breakfast cereal, fruit, etc...), fitness center is just a few dumb bells and a cable machine.,there are classes in the pool so that limits availability."
