"The Lloyd Hoxton was great—beautiful design, helpful staff, and close to a tram that could take you to central station. For families, they even had a play area with mud kitchen! The breakfast buffet was delicious and good value for the cost. My room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and very nice. I do wish they offered a bathrobe and slippers for guests. The only real downsides to me were that the WIFI in my room wasn't as strong as I'd hope. For example, FaceTime calls were spotty. As a first-time visitor, I also found it a bit of a trek to get to some of the tourist attractions and wish I stayed more central (the other Hoxton was all booked up). I'd recommend staying at this location if it's not your first time in Amsterdam and you want to be in a less touristy area. Still, lovely hotel, helpful staff, and good value overall."

"We recently stayed at this hotel and had a generally positive experience, with a few things worth noting depending on your preferences. The property is located in an emerging area that initially feels a bit industrial, but we quickly felt that it was safe and conveniently situated. It's within easy walking distance to both the ferry (free) and metro, which made getting around easy. There were also several good restaurants nearby, which added to the overall convenience. One of the standout features was the staff - consistently friendly, welcoming and helpful. The all-day breakfast offering was a great touch. The hotel itself is clean, with high-tech check-in and room access that made the stay feel seamless and efficient. The room, however, was a bit unexpected. While the bathroom was quite spacious and well-designed, the bedroom area was noticeably COMPACT - just large enough to accommodate a queen-sized bed. That said, the room was thoughtfully laid out with good lighting and practical storage solutions, including under-bed space for luggage, which helped. Overall, this was a solid choice given that we were in Amsterdam during the popular Tulip Festival and most rooms had doubled in price. After we got over the 'initial shock' we were very happy with the choice. "

"Overall hotel was great, with some space for improvement. When I asked to leave my luggage bag I was told there’s no space left at 11am? And was forced to do early check-in with a price. The staff didn’t seem to be too interested to be there. Other than this the hotel room was great and housekeeping did a great job everyday"
