"This hotel is such a gem! Quirky and fun decorations make this hotel unique. There is an amazing breakfast in the morning. Staff is always super friendly. Whenever we stay in Des Moines we stay at this amazing hotel and it never disappoints!"

"The only disappointment was regarding the Speakeasy. The hotel website did not clarify that seating was very limited to not available at all. The was no open bar and only a handful of tables that required advance reservations. We had planned our trip and told our guests that the Speakeasy was our central meeting place and then none of us could get in. If you need an open bar to meet friends this is the wrong place. We should have stayed somewhere else."

"The only issue I had was with the slides. The rules on what life jacket to wear wasn’t posted anywhere. My son went down one slide with a life jacket and the second time was told he couldn’t wear that one. He had to wear one that buckled in the back not in the front. The rules weren’t posted on the life jackets. "
