"The view was very nice. A gull visited often, so make sure the sliding door is shut. The sliding door still sticks, so close it slowly. The bed is very comfy. It is an old building that is kind of shabby, but still clean and well kept. "

"This is a nice quiet hotel with a pool, which is hard to find in Avalon. It is very clean and great amenities It has a very convenient shuttle to downtown, and to the heliport and the ferry station. The very friendly drivers make a round every 15 minutes. I do wish that the hotel had full length mirrors their rooms. The restaurant on the grounds is NOT run by the hotel, but by a private company. The food is excellent. And the prices are good. The Service however, is extremely slow. Quite a wait after you seat yourself until your order is taken, and then a very long wait until you receive your food. It took an hour before I was served a simple breakfast, They need more help in the kitchen. The wait is worth it if you have the time. I have stayed at this hotel several times, and I will be back."
