Carol Downtown Mall

I recently stayed at the Hotel Riu Palace Punta Cana. While the property is beautiful our overall experience was subpar. The buffet food lacked flavor and freshness and the restaurants stayed full no matter when you tried to go. We stayed in room 3124 and the mattress was infested with bed bugs. When we went down to the front desk all they said they could do was change the sheets (which does nothing because bed bugs live in the mattress) but we agreed to them changing the sheets but no one ever came to change the sheets so we were forced to sleep on the couch afraid of getting bit again. If you do stay here I suggest inspecting the room before you sleep in the bed!

Husband and I enjoyed the resort for my birthday! Highly recommend! All inclusive was great with the buffet, steakhouse, and the Italian restaurant— excellent!!! Pools were awesome. We will be back! 💗 The Brooks

The resort was nice, but the staff wasn't always helpful. If you called the front desk for help, you had to call back multiple times before someone would come and then even then it would be hours before someone addressed the problem. The food was underwhelming. I went to D. R. for Dominican food not for Italian or Chinese. They should have had one restaurant dedicated to the countries cuisine. I did enjoy the drinks and snacks.
