Clean rooms, kitchen facilities were good as we arrived on Christmas Day so nothing was open. Glad to be able to cook a meal for my family on this day. Hot tub was a lovely touch. The fridge was also very useful since we had a few items to chill. The proximity to the shark dive center is also very convenient. Definitely can recommend.

We had the best stay at Avondrood. The location was great to easily walk along the main road in the town with all the restaurants and shops etc. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms spacious and luxurious but what really stood out was the staff. Not only were they just lovely individuals, they couldn't do enough to recommend places to eat, vineyards to drink at and ensured that we had the most amazing stay. Don't hesitate to book Avondrood.

Truly a luxury experience with champagne welcome, three course breakfasts, real fires in the rooms and staff, at all levels, who were welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend this accommodation - beautiful rooms in a beautiful setting which was enhanced by the service provided by the staff through the car being washed in the morning, fires being lit in your room in the evening to the outstanding food and willingness by the staff to make your holiday a wonderful experience.

Great location and rooms. Fantastic pool for an afternoon cool off and sunbath after wine tasting. Note there isn’t access to a gym like the hotel info says. Staff didn’t know about a gym and said use a local one.

We had the most incredible stay at Mont Rochelle! We were staying for our honeymoon and it was our first stay in our 2 week trip and now that the 2 weeks is up I can confidently say that we stayed in 4 5* hotels during our stay in Cape Town and Mont Rochelle was by far the best, a league above the rest. Highlight of our holiday. We stayed for 2 nights and went on 4 drives and saw so many amazing animals. Pretty much everything very close to the vehicle - which was more than I could have hoped for. Our ranger was passionate and knowledgeable as well as determined to make the most of our trip for us. Lovely all round

We stayed at the Villa at Auberge Clermont for 6 days. The villa is great - French country farmhouse style. Very comfy beds, large bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen with cooker, dishwasher fridge and freezer. There is maid service everyday. The verandah is perfect for sitting out in the evenings, and the pool is great. Very peaceful and trainquil. Well run by the staff and owners and perfectly placed a short distance from the centre of Franschhoek.
