Splendid stay

A great place to stay just outside of the busy town with lovely owners. Within close proximity to shopping mall and smaller shops, cafes and restaurants etc. Kirstenbosch garden is a short drive away, and the False Bay beaches even closer. Can totally recommend.

Fantastic stay in Cape Town!

Our stay at A Place in Thyme was splendid. Fish Hoek was a lovely serene town, perfect for accessing beaches and nearby Simonstown (Boulders Beach) and easy access to the city by car or train. The studio room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed with an amazing view. Linda was a fantastic host and took care to ensure we had everything we needed. Even during loadshedding we had access to wifi, TV (and Netflix), a portable stove and hot water for shower. Would highly recommend for a cost effective stay seeing beautiful Cape Town.

Property was perfectly situated to give a full view of Fish Hoek and the surrounding area. Precence of a funicular made getting luggage into and out of the property much easier as on quite a steep incline. The property was in a very good condition with our hosts being extremely friendly and accommodating.

I liked everything about the stay, I would like to ad that the advertising about the place can be confusing … I thought I booked the 2 bedroom with a pool and a washing machine…only to find out it was a studio and no , pool and no washing Massine …although our host invited us to sim when the other tenants are gone … and also we were told at check in that we should not watch the Yvonne, too loud , talk too loud , , we could not open the windows because he said birds will fly in , so in the end , because he said the door in our apartment opens into the apartment next door .. So u can imagine now we were more afraid to even talk , cause they will most probably hear all we say and do … it became walking on toes and talking softly and not watching to . It became not enjoyable… But our host key in communication through WhatsApp, but we thought if we discussed all this we might argue and it will bring tension… So I found a solution to our tension … I checked out a day earlier , and found a new Hotel where we could be free , but still obey the rules of the hotel and enjoy our holiday and our stay
