Pro's...Easy to find. Plenty of free parking. Hot water in the shower and a good pressure. Staff friendly. Was peaceful, as we were at the back upstairs. Good view of the lodge's car park and grounds. Comfy beds.
Cons...Did have to wait to check in, as no one on reception, and no one answering the contact number. A couple were moving out and managed to call someone for us, but overall we were waiting 20 mins to check in.
Twin room was small, but adequate for one night, bathroom tiny, and felt cramped when using the loo or basin. Shower was ok. No towel rail or hooks for clothes, and only a bath towel provided, no hand towels or free toiletries, just a regular hand soap. No tea making facilities in the room, but could make tea or coffee in breakfast room. Breakfast was ok, consisted of cereal and toast. cold meat and veg with hummus etc. Beans that could be heated in a microwave.
Room had cobwebs and spiders, and stains on the walls, and lampshade had a brown stain. Room very shabby and needs updating. Radiator had bed pushed up against it and very hot! Not worth the £77 i paid tbh, £40 max! Wont be staying again.
