The staff were very helpful especially the manager who kindly arranged for us to change rooms as we are sensitive to road noise. However the hotel decor fixtures and fittings were tired and in need of refurbishment. Not what we expect at an Hotel du Vin having been regular customers in other hotels of this group around the country.

As always, the staff were courteous and helpful, the room was immaculate, great shower, comfortable bed. They don’t advertise well that they have a bar, but I thoroughly recommend it as well as the bistro.

Such a lovely hotel with lots of history, 8 minute walk to the town. Beautiful decor and extremely friendly and helpful staff from the reception staff to the bar staff. They upgraded our room for free due to a celebration booking and could not have been more lovely. Thank you!

Great location on Road where main sights, lovely library room to relax in, outside space to sit and have a drink, very comfortable bed with good choice of tea and coffee. We parked on park and ride outside centre, should have used the parking at nearby hotel with onsite charging , would have been easier.
