First of all the Ahley Hotel was not available do to closer. We cancelled October 17th and are still waiting for a full refund. We have reached out expedia customer service case # 130647049, and case # S# 1130980795 with Bubbles and still haven't resolved this cancelled booking. Expedia took our 513.00 for a Hotel that was not even open for service. I call that fraud, and will report Expedia to the better buisiness bureaus if this is not resolved immedietly. The Arundel is no responding so move forward since Expedia booked the stay at Ashley Hotel Mr. Pete Felicijan

We were here for one night - we had a spaceous room. The front staff and breakfast staff were both incredibly friendly. The area is lovely and it's an easy walk to all the attractions.

We were very happy with our stay at the Ashley Hotel. One needs to be aware that this is a 3* hotel, so effectively a bed and breakfast. We had a "double room", which looked like the picture used for all classes of double room on the web site. The bed was very comfortable (my wife was impressed as she has back trouble) and the room was spacious and well furnished, with two armchairs. Also, the lighting was good (unlike too many hotels). The bathroom was compact, having been squeezed in, but the shower was good. There was quite a climb to our room as it was on the top floor and there is no lift, so anyone who has trouble with stairs needs to make sure they have a suitable room. The room was at the back and there were no noise problems even though we opened the windows. We arrived in the late afternoon/early evening of a Friday and the reception was staffed, so we had no trouble getting in. All the staff we met were welcoming and helpful. We particularly appreciated that they allowed us to leave our car in the car park after we checked out. For breakfast there is a fairly simple buffet selection plus well-cooked full English. The location is excellent - a short and very pleasant walk takes you into central Cambridge and there are buses too.

Arundel house hotel
We were due to stay at the Ashley House hotel but it hadn’t reopened in time so we were put in Arundel House, the sister hotel on the same road. The hotel was in a nice position by the river, easy to find with good parking. We would visit again.

We were transferred to sister hotel The Arundel. Have stayed at the Ashley. Both are clean tidy and serve a decent breakfast. Friendly staff. The Arundel is larger with more facilities and slightly closer to the city centre. Can’t fault either for a reasonably priced stay. Good value. Helpful staff.

We arrived around 7:30pm. There is no staff on site. We tried to buzz at the front door but nobody answered. Finally we had to cal Arundal House's direct line to get instructions and directions to their location for check-in and keys. Free parking at the back and breakfast was very good. There were supposed to be two doors to the different sections of the hotel but the card only worked on the front. So in order to go to the other section, you have to go downstairs through the breakfast area, and then up the other side. Though from the inside, it is possible to open the other door to get to the parking area much more quicker and easier.

A bit fussy. Hotel open only on weekends, 17 rooms total. Victorian house on a busy road, but there was no road noise. Park behind the hotel. Can leave the car in their car park after you check out. Wi-Fi works near the reception and in the basement breakfast room, but not in the guest rooms. Relatively costly. Some rooms are accessed by entering the front door, going down to the basement, and up again. Tip: you can exit through the back door to the parking lot but cannot come back the same way. Still if someone holds the door open for you, it is the easiest way to get luggage from the car to the hotel. This was not mentioned at check-in, and we carried our bags up and down many stairs! Good sized rooms, tasty full English breakfast, also some yogurt and fruits. When I tried to lift the sash window, it came out in my hands. Fortunately, I didn’t drop it on my foot. About 15 mins walk to the town, either along the main road or along the river.
