This is my first time visiting Romania. I am amazed at how accommodating the city is to tourists. I love that it is not as crowded yet as other European cities. I am amazed at how they were able to preserve their buildings and transportation.

A beautiful but incoherent city is a tossed salad of Orthodox churches, Baroque facades, Neocolonial structures and Soviet era buildings. On top of all that you have Ceausescu's grand delusions, resulting in an urban plan gone awry.

Old city is vibrant and full of restaurants and cafes. Lots of stuff to do. Didn't expect this as I was here in 1975 during communist period and it is an entirely different place!!
