"This hotel is dated, but that is more than made up for by the cleanliness and the cheerfulness of the staff. My kids said it felt like visiting grandmas. They were intrigued by the blue tile in the bathroom, the old style fixtures and the actual (non built in) furniture. If you are looking for a sparkling, shiny, new place, this is likely not the best option for you. However, it was the cleanest, best cared for room that we stayed in on our 10 day vacation. The beds were comfortable, and we didn't hear noises from the hall or neighbors. The breakfast spread was impressive, and was served by a lady who really seemed to welcome you and care. She gave us some great recommendations for what to see in the area, and she hand cracked and scrambled the eggs. The rooms were interior access, and the area around the hotel seemed safe. If we were in the Bangor area, we'd definitely stay here again."
