"Hotel has a sign at the front door that they barely passed inspection. They received a C rating. Everything inside looks old and outdated."

"The property is very nice. I really loved the room! But there are caveats. The hotels in this area are simultaneously used to house transient individuals within the nyc shelter system. The area is extremely sketchy and if you’re not comfortable walking around being near drug addicts arguing and screaming at each other then it’s probably best not to stay in this area. I personally don’t care as long as my accommodation is nice and the inside of the building is safe, which it was. The subway is right around the corner so extremely easy to get too and from. I only stayed for a quick overnight and would not stay there for an actual vacation but would stay again for another night passing through . "

"I would not recommend making a reservation at this property. They do not have a front desk, which would normally not be an issue. However, they did not send us our access codes to get into the building, so we were stranded without a hotel. A full day passed and we never did receive the codes. They assured us they would send the access codes soon enough, but they never actually did. After reserving a room at another hotel at the last minute, I asked Expedia for a refund. They were able to contact the hotel, where they learned that the hotel did not have any clean rooms available, hence they did not give us the access codes. Fortunately I was able to get a refund. I believe this hotel is incredibly mismanaged, given our experience. We had previously stayed at this property when it was owned by Marriott (under the Sonder brand), and it was a great stay. I suspect this is where the high ratings come from. However, it looks like the new ownership is incompetent and has no issue taking your money when they have no rooms for you. I recommend saving yourself the stress of having to make a last-minute reservation at another hotel by avoiding this property altogether."

"Really had a comfortable time during our stay. The room is big and the beds an extremely comfortable. Different food options for breakfast, if you like eggs, you will love the hotel even more (hahaha). We look forward to staying again next time we are in New York"

"all well with the hotel and the staff working there. the problem was the second night. the people in the room next to mine started to annoy playing music and singing at high volume and when I called the receptionist he called the room and they lowered the music. but at 3am they came back with everything and in the hall there was a lot of marijuana smell. I had to call the police and they acted. I didn't want to go and knock on their doors because I felt afraid that they could make me. then I could not continue sleeping and had to get up at 6am. "
