The Chimes

The Chimes

10/10 Excellent
"My partner and I made a last minute booking for a 2 night stay, on the basis of the consistently good reviews of The Chimes. I am so glad we did. It is just a few minutes walk to the town and harbour. Donna, the lovely owner, sorted me out a car parking permit for free parking on the road. Our host made us welcome and was very friendly. The room we had was a little on the small side it had everything we needed for our stay, Everywhere was very clean and tidy. I had read reviews of the breakfast, and thought they may have been exaggerated a little. They were true! Personal choice freshness, taste of the cooked breakfast was fab, and served in a bright and welcoming ground floor room. Donna has advised if we stay again, and we hope we will, to phone her and she will allocate a room on a lower floor of the house, as I have a few health issues, and found the flights of stairs a challenge. Donna recommended a short car trip to Flamborough Head, for views and really great, tasty food at the restaurant there. It did not disappoint. A lovely couple of days which we hope to repeat sometime soon."
