"First the man at the front desk said that my reservation was canceled by Expedia and to call Expedia. The phone numbers that I found for Expedia customer service were wrong, one was a company that does adult chat lines. Then the front desk said that the manager of the hotel canceled my reservation because they had issues with several of their rooms. I was NOT notified of this prior to my arrival. Then the front desk finds me a room which was disgusting, no pillow cases for the old worn stained pillows, one of the beds was not clean with hair on the sheets, all counters were dirty, and there was pink and gray/black MOLD on the door frame of the bathroom! I had no where else to go, all hotels were booked due to the BTS concert. The light outside of my room was not working so I didn’t feel safe opening my door or leaving my luggage in the room. I came for the BTS concert and all I could do was cry because I had no where else to go. It was a horrible experience and I am requesting a refund because it was not worthy of the $500 I paid for it. It was beyond disappointing. Please respond."

"NEVER AGAIN EXTREMLY DISAPONTING!!! The room was disgusting scratches all over the walls the carpet was so badly stained and smelled like urine. The smell coming from the AC unit almost gaged me the boarder around the floor was pealing. We stay at La Quinta's across the country we have NEVER had such a horrible experience. "I am writing to formally express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the Holiday Inn El Paso West - Sunland Park. My experience was plagued by unacceptable room conditions and a severe lack of professional customer service, both of which fall far below IHG’s advertised standards. 1. Substandard Room Conditions (Bi-Level Room) Upon checking in, we discovered that our room was in a state of neglect. Specific issues included: • Hygiene: The carpets and walls were visibly dirty, and the shower had not been properly sanitized. • Maintenance: The downstairs television would not power on, and the water pressure in the shower was extremely weak with no hot water available. • Safety/Security: The sliding door was stuck and could not be closed or locked properly, which is a significant security concern. • Service Failure: Despite calling to report these issues, no one was sent to assist us, and housekeeping failed to clean our room entirely during our stay. 2. Professional Misconduct & Service Failure The most distressing part of our stay occurred at 1:30 AM on May 4th 2026. After returning from a concert, our key cards failed to unlock the gate to our room. I called the front desk to request assistance, as we were carrying food and were exhausted from walking. The only male staff member at the front deskon duty was incredibly rude and dismissive."

"This was a very frustrating stay and not what I expected from a Hilton property. Our bathroom sink was leaking continuously underneath the vanity, to the point where we had to use towels and a bucket to catch the water for the entire stay. This made the bathroom difficult to use and felt unsanitary. This is a basic maintenance issue that should have been resolved before assigning the room. While the front desk staff were polite and provided towels and a bucket, the problem itself was never fixed, and we were not offered a room change as the hotel was fully booked. As a result, we had to deal with this inconvenience the entire time. I appreciate the staff’s effort, but this significantly impacted our stay. I would expect a hotel to either provide a functional room or offer a reasonable alternative. Given the circumstances, I believe a partial refund or compensation is appropriate and would expect management to address this."
