Top Battle Hotel Reviews
The Grand Hotel Eastbourne
"Beautiful building, lobby and dining area. Excellent spot too, just across the road from the beach and a great French restaurant and also walking distance to the pier. Rooms look a little tired and could do with a refresh. Bath tub and carpet had stains, mattress was way too soft and door squeaked at night due to a draft from the windows which made it difficult to sleep. A bit of repainting and refresh of the room interior would make it outstanding. Pool was very nice but can get overcrowded. Staff overall were very friendly and breakfast was nice. Early check in was also appreciated since we had a toddler with us."
Royal Wells Hotel
"Was perfectly adequate for my needs, the manager was very helpful the moment I walked through the door"
The View Hotel
"A single room with balcony and sea view. Rooms dated but everything works! Food was lovely in the bar and staff friendly and helpful. Parking rate excellent and able to park close by most of the time. Great location."
The George in Rye
"Overall great hotel but for a vegetarian who doesn't like a spicy breakfast limited although no problem leaving things off. Anything on toast had to be taken off toast so butter could be added once warm enough to spread by which time egg (which always had runny whites) were getting cold!"
The Chatsworth Hotel
"Rain shower and hand held shower inoperative. Cold water valve to both was broken."
The Abbey Hotel
"All good just watch your parking very keen traffic warden/Gestapo and the Abbey car park should not be over stayed one minute late = ยฃ100 fine we wetre told."
The George Hotel
"A great budget friendly hotel ,great position in town . friendly helpful staff."
The Burlington Hotel
"I stayed at the Burlington Hotel over the August Bank Holiday & had a very nice room over looking the sea. The room is clean & well presented. With extra pillows, blankets an iron & a hair dryer, clean shower, basin & loo. We were impressed we had 3 mirrors. Good car park, nice helpful staff at reception in the bar & at breakfast. It's a very clean & tidy hotel It's in a great position for a walk too the beach, shopping, restaurants, cinema theatres etc."
Cavendish Hotel
"It's a grand old building - and some of the public areas downstairs are nicely done, and look great. Big and spacious reception/foyer and bar area as well (Didn't use the restaurant). The room was a good size, and a decent price - but as wih many of these big, old properties, it's worn & tired. It was cleaned well, and plenty of space."
