PAUSE BEFORE MAKING RESERVATIONS!
We made reservations based on the presentation of the hotel's website. When checking in, the lobby was clean and updated so we had no indication of reasons to be concerned. We spent apx. 5 minutes in our room before determining we did not want to stay. The rooms were in fact very dingy, with worn out furniture, carpet, as well as an odor of mold and musty. We looked at several rooms in the main hotel, but all had the same traits. Once we indicated that we would not be staying, the front desk clerk graciously offered to process a refund to Expedia. Once we returned to the US, we noticed that the Davis Hotel had billed and not refunded us through Expedia. After hours on the phone with the hotel and Expedia, we were informed that the management had denied the request for a refund regardless of their previous commitment to do so.
WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!
