Late Review. Perfect for us with one problem. I would give 5 stars but had to reduce it.
We stayed about 7 weeks and this place made our stay in Thailand great. The front desk clerks were always friendly, kind, and helpful. Ton of street food, the mall Bangkapi, BTS, and MRT is in walking distance. The room was clean. We were early for our check-in and they still accommodated us. There is a laundry service nearby and she did great work for a reasonable price. The pool and the gym were great and exactly as advertised.
The one problem we had was that there is apparently a swimming school or instructors who use the pool to teach. They will literally go into the lane you are using while teaching their student. Even when the lane on the other side is not being used. They act as though you are beneath them. One time, I was coming from the deep end to the shallow end and the instructor decided to show his student how to hold on to the wall and kick their legs - in my lane. This forced me to have to completely stop. They were rude, inconsiderate, and it was not during the time the pool is closed for teaching.
Aside from the poor manners of these swimming instructors, our visit was problem free. The Thai people are amazing, friendly, and warm. Thailand is one, if not the best, country we have ever had the pleasure to visit. For Bangkok, I would recommend this hotel.
