The view from the room in morning was mind blowing. Staffs are really good and the food they provided was really very good like homemade. If you are a nature loving person and want a peaceful environment, i would really recommend this place.

Excellent Spacious Rooms with very good service and restaurant. Complementary breakfast is too good with many options. Hotel is close by Doddabetta peak and hence having own vehicle would be better as it is 9km from ooty railway station. otherwise be ready to shell out more for taxi request at travel desk. It is very lonely and peaceful place to be. We enjoyed staying here for 3 days and 2 nights. Stayed on 29 to 31 Mar 2013. Family with one 3 years kid.

I STAYED IN THE HOTEL FOR TWO DAYS WITH MY WIFE. DESPITE LANGUAGE HANDICAP I ENJOYED MY STAY. ROOM SERVICE IS EXCELLENT. ROOMS ARE CLEAN SPACIOUS AND COMFORTABLE. We (2 adults and 2 kids) had a pleasant stay at Stumpfields. It is 500 meters above Ooty town and within half an hour driving distance. This picturesque place is quiet, serene and well-maintained. Plenty of small and medium sized birds can be seen in and around the property. Breakfast prepared by the staff was very good and homely and the rooms are well maintained.
