Plunge into a deep sea adventure and find yourself face-to-face with sharks, eels and the majestic giant Pacific octopus.

Learn about life in the ocean blue in this outstanding attraction dedicated to the largest body of water on the planet, the Pacific Ocean.

Situated on the pristine shores of Long beach, this three-storey attraction spans an area equivalent to three football fields and boasts an impressive exhibition space. The attraction’s vast interior is divided into three main sections all relating to the pacific ocean Southern California and Baja, the Northern Pacific and Tropical Pacific.

With over 11,000 ocean animals and 500 different species, you will find there is a lot more to see and do beneath the surface. Get up close in the aquarium and marvel at the beautiful sea creatures at feeding time when the fun really begins. Visitors have the opportunity to touch various ocean beauties in the many pools dotted around the aquarium. You can even dip your fingers in the Shark Lagoon and stroke a shark, if you’re feeling brave! For the less daring, you will also have the opportunity to make friends with jellyfish (the non-stinging variety), cucumbers, rays and more.

For those wanting to dive deeper into the wonders of the Pacific, a behind-the-scenes tour is the perfect opportunity for visitors to gain exclusive access to feeding areas and learn more about animal care and maintenance at the aquarium.

For those not wanting to get their feet wet, the Lorikeet Forest has a wide range of beautiful tropical birds waiting to be admired. With more than 100 lorikeets from five subspecies, this 300-square-metre outdoor aviary is a colourful menagerie of fun and excitement for visitors of all ages. Buy a tub of nectar and wait for these beautiful creatures to fly right into your hands.

In the Penguin Habitat, get inside one of the crawl-in spaces specially designed so you can view the flightless birds from above and below the service.

The aquarium is situated on Long Beach, 40 kilometres south of downtown Los Angeles and is open every day except Christmas day and over a weekend in April for the Grand Prix. Paid parking is available in nearby.
