"If you have a vehicle you will be ok otherwise I do not recommend. It is extremely difficult to get Uber to that location compared to if you’re staying in the city center. The property has two secured gates which you have to message the owner to open for you to leave the premises and re-enter which is very inconvenient. The complimentary wine however was a nice touch. "This was an absolutely wonderful stay! Sean and his team really took care of me. I felt so welcomed. And they really looked after me because they were able to accommodate all my allergies.
My reservation was at the very last minute, and they were so gracious with all the last-minute changes. The food was made from scratch in-house and was delicious! The wine transported me! The room and furnishings were modern, clean, and well maintained. There was five-star service at every venue on the property! I loved that Lynx Wine Estate is eco-friendly, self-sustaining, and promotes sustainability in a myriad of ways during your stay.
There were lovely high touchpoints (you get a treat if you opt to have your room not cleaned, and they help get you on the wine tram if Lynx is your starting point to name a few) that set Lynx apart. I didn’t want to leave. And I’m absolutely staying here on my next visit to the Cape Winelands.
My only con has nothing to do with Lynx. Franschhoek doesn’t have great transportation options, but Uber was a decent alternative (be prepared for 15 minute wait times) since I didn’t rent a car. However, if you communicate your travel needs, the Lynx team will help in a pinch.

"A beautiful property that is a farm, vineyard and orchard. Everything we ate was delicious and the Carnivore dinner at the Old Bakery is a must. Do as many activities, that are included with your stay. Ask about their sister property that is a 18th century farm as well as the mountain pool. The farm/garden tour were very informative and the water buffalo outing is a must. "

It was quiet and cool so barely needed to use the AC. But what made it such a wonderful place to stay were the amazing staff, who were so friendly and helpful they truly made our stay very special.
