Sri Lankan Villa was one of the best places we stayed in Sri Lanka, and the cleanest. Everything in the villa had been thought through, and our stay was so comfortable and easy. Lovely balcony too for relaxing. The location was perfect - close to Koggala lake, the beach, our favourite little Café Wave (try the hot lava cake), the railway line, and even the little road the villa was on was quiet and good for an evening wander. Highly recommended.

From the moment you step into cape welligama to the moment you leave, you are being looked after by the staff with such immense care and attention to detail. The responsiveness and personalisation is excellent, and a level of service I have not encountered in any hotel before. The resort is well set up for young families, and our room had easy access to what felt like a very private swimming pool. The swimming pools are set to have great views, and we had monkeys and peacocks come to say hello....

Our room Suite 1 was fantastic with a beautiful view to the sea, you could listen to the crashing waves.

Amazing stay, with great and attentive staff. Beautiful property, which overlooks the ocean and you can watch the surfers whilst eating breakfast etc. Would recommend!

Lovely and friendly family who were very helpful. Nice quiet area other than the odd monkey running across the roof lol.

Everything was great. Only thing they must do is stop guests playing loud music by the pool

We spent 5 wonderful days here and have nothing but praise for the resort, the staff and the value for money ratio. Within walking distance of Weligama and a short Tuk-tuk ride from Marissa, you are far enough out of but close enough to the hustle and bustle. Situated on the beach is perfect for decent rest and relaxation.

Lovel peaceful hotel - slightly away from central street , but handy for beach. The benefit of being away from centre is that property was well laid out and spacious - properties closer to beach and centre appeared to be quite cramped. Hotel had all facilities you could have asked for - including kettle on 1st floor verandah. We were in no rush to leave

Staff are fabulous, rooms lovely and overlook the sea. The restaurant is good - excellent range of dinner choices. While it is very touristy an on a main road, it’s right on the beach and not too noisy.

Not on the beach, but probably quieter because of that. Probably needed slightly better guidance about getting to the beach! Room and pool were great. Making up of room between our two nights was a little delayed, but we were allowed into it straight away on first arrival, despite being early. Good information on arrival. Bit odd that evening meals were not available as advised - supposedly just needed an hour's warning, but kitchen was closed by 1800 hrs on first night! Actually did us a favour...

Had a brilliant time at Cocobay over Christmas and New Year. Enjoyed it so much, we stayed some extra days. Private beach is a small piece of heaven and i swam to jungle beach (about a mile) and that was super fun too. (can get a short rickshaw ride or walk also). Food was great, Sri Lankan or international cuisine available. Stayed in two different rooms and both great, clean and with sea and palm tree views. We loved our stay at Ceylon Olive. Kumudu & Era could not have done more for us during our stay, even when I had made a mistake about booking the wrong room; they quickly helped us move to another. They helped us book excursions and recommendations on where to eat or visit. We would love to come back and visit in the future! Thank you for making our first trip to Sri Lanka so special!
