Great stay with few areas of improvement
The hotel is very nice and clean, I really loved the welcome biscuits given at the reception and at the room. I loved the cinema theater that they offer on site and the elegant, quiet and calm atmosphere. There were 2 not-so-good things about my stay on Armed forces hotel though: the pool does not belong to the hotel itself but to a sort of club, therefore, there is 0% privacy if you want to use the pool as there are swimming classes all day. The pool was packed and I was not comfortable having so many people around during pandemic time. The second not so good thing was that they made us wait for almost 30 min at the reception before we could get our room. The customer service team however was very nice and helpful though. Other than these two downfalls, I enjoy my stay.

Good Hotel.
Hotel was good. Lot of construction going on but I knew about that at time of booking. Gym and Pool worth the cost alone.

Lovely hotel and friendly staff
A comfortable hotel despite the presence of maintenance in some of the hotel facilities and its location in a very quiet place, but I do not advise travelers who will rely on taxis because the hotel location is located at the entrance to the city, there will be transportation costs, but in general the hotel is very good and has facilities and a very beautiful garden.

Friendly staff makes up for all the hotel flaws
Staff were friendly which made our stay good but the hotel is a bit rundown. Duvets should be replaced with new one because it is already in pieces. It disgust me when i saw it.

The rooms are extremely old and never been renovated. They smell very bad. The bed's springs are out. Pillows and bed mattress are hard.

Great place
There was an issue with our room being mixed up on the first night but it was rectified within 24hours.. staff were very helpful and friendly with loads of activities and food available on the premises!! Wifi was terrible tho. Overall it was a wonderful place to stay!! Hotels.com also we’re super helpful with rectifying the room mix up!!

Excellent service, cleaning Well done, but the hotel has to change the room carpets. Excellent destination for families, very well equiped for practicing different sports good for sports clubs also.

Good hotel that provides a solid service
The place is fair. It is not a 5 star property with all the bells and whistles but a comfortable quiet hotel probably suited to business travellers on a budget. It has all the mod cons e.g. bar, room service and turn down. But it is not luxurious. The building itself if a government building for the armed service with an Olympic swimming pool, coffee shop, multiple very large conference rooms (it is a hotel with very large conference facilities with much fewer rooms). Local is good for grand mosque. It is in between downtown Abu Dhabi and Yas Island. We stayed for the GP and did the trick!

First time visit, first class everything. Our 25th wedding anniversary made perfect by venue and staff excellence. So impressed, we stayed on for 3 days /2 nights, enjoying the entire time within the world class complex. A must stay, lifestyle experience!

The room size is good enough very neat and clean. Wifi is weak and bathroom shower flacuet is hard to operate. And limited plug points for charging

Very comfortable bed and room, on a lavshly-decorated property close to the Grand Mosque (though still a short cab ride away, not walking distance). An olympic-size swimming pool, sauna, and gymnasium are among the included amenities. Complimentary coffee and dates are available at lounges around the hotel during the daytime, and are delicious. The very good breakfast buffet was an extra fee, at least for me. And using the attached shooting range would have been an extra fee.But this was overall an outstanding value for a 5-star hotel stay.

Old hotel with smelly rooms
The check in experience lasted more than half an hour, which is the longest from my personal experience with hotels. They were looking for my reservation and I almost lost hope. I was given a smelly room that overlook the parking, another disappointment. I called to ensure that I chose smoking room while this one is not, So I was moved to a third floor room with balcony which was a relief. Yet the balcony was dusty and I was scared to contaminate my black abaya. When asked for the room service to be put on the room I was told I can only put the juice on the room but have to pay immediately for the cigarettes! also, the channels were another big disappointment, no movie channels but Indian and Egyptian.

Food was not nice room was so dark lighting was so poor. The bed was uncomfortable. It states it has a spa but nothing was available for women. Nothing close by to do. Wouldn't stay again in this hotel.

The good, the bad and the oops.
My advice to other travellers would be to check in early, because on my particular occasion the hotel had overbooked. So I was moved to a room that I hadn't booked. The problem was rectified, but left a poor first impression. Little mistakes that a five star hotel shouldn't make, were being made with disappointing regularity. The hotel itself is stunning, and you could wander for hours and not to the same part of the hotel twice. But I think some of the rooms could do with a little bit of TLC. I can't fault the staff, some of the most friendly and helpful staff I have encountered quite some time. I think reception could do with a little bit of work, the staff sometimes don't seem to know what they're doing. I think that is where most of the problems seem to stem from.
