"Stopped here as it was "near" (an hour away) to the Eagle's Nest which we were visiting the following day and one if the more reasonably priced hotels available at short notice (€148). "The hotel is an old building and as such kind of quirky(stairways and halls). Our room was quite large, and clean, with a modern bathroom. There is no air conditioning, just a fan in room , so in mid summer it may be hot, and we heard a lot of traffic noise as we had the windows open. Breakfast was typical continental, cereal pastries, bread meat and cheese. Parking is 15 euros per night extra. The immediate neighborhood was a little run down, but the good thing is that it is in decent walking...

"I recommend doing research before coming here. If you do not have a car, it will be hard for you to travel up to the hotel, if you do not like to walk. The restaurant is not open everyday. The spa was closed when we were there. The view is amazing and it’s quiet. It’s an old style hotel and it has a lot of history. If you are used to 5 star hotels like the Ritz, don’t come here. "
