"Beautiful hotel. Stunning historical palace for breakfast. A wander round the other rooms not to be missed. The library is stunning. Grounds are lovely. Only complaint was the bedside shelf was dirty with a half eaten apple and cosmetic from previous occupants in the room! "

"I recommend doing research before coming here. If you do not have a car, it will be hard for you to travel up to the hotel, if you do not like to walk. The restaurant is not open everyday. The spa was closed when we were there. The view is amazing and it’s quiet. It’s an old style hotel and it has a lot of history. If you are used to 5 star hotels like the Ritz, don’t come here. "

"The hotel is quiet and the room was clean and quite roomy for an old European hotel. There are steps from the street into the hotel and it is a little dated. Staff is not there through the night, but helpful with our questions during the day. Very nice garden, social rooms and an honor bar on the first floor. Overall, we would stay again. "
