"A good property close to main road through Thekkady but removed enough to be lovely and quiet. Beautiful grounds, pool was clean there was some play equipment. The restaurant served a good buffet for dinner and breakfast, with both Indian and western dishes. We chose to eat the Indian food it was served hot and was very tasty. "

"We had a great experience staying at the hotel which was a perfect base for a few days exploring the area. Hotel set on top of mountain with great views, and facilities including lovely gardens and plants, an infinity pool and great restaurant with outstanding service. Paid a bit more for a larger room with a balcony. Excellent restaurant and menu with cookery and tea demonstrations. Delicious breakfasts and dinners supervised by chef Ram and attentive team of dedicated and helpful servers."

"Really nice place. Friendly staff! Kumily is great for exploring Periyar. The hotel is 10-15 min walk from the entry point into Periyar national park. Clean and spacious room. No hot water in the shower head. However, there was a tap with hot water in knee-height and a plastic bucket. So it was possible to get a hot shower using that. "

"The front desk staff was good, the breakfast was excellent and tasty. Two issued I had was there was another group that was playing loud music near us and it was bothering us as we were trying to put the kids to sleep. We also had a issues where the staff was suppose to deliver a case of water we brought and they delivered it to the wrong room. They replaced it with a case but just two small issues. Overall good experience and would stay again if going through the area. "

The room had ample space with a small balcony as well as with TV and a small storage cupboard. The room, attached bathroom-toilet was clean and the bed linen as well as towels were clean. Provision for tea/coffee in the room was available. A table chair would have been nice. Nearby dining options are available. The not-so good reviews are mostly due to the standard rooms on the first floor. Overall, a decent budget hotel close to the Kayamkulam train station with friendly front-desk staff who can arrange transport to visit nearby places."

"A good clean resort at the center of the town but still close to nature. View points are quite nearby. Food is not luxury levels. Though simple, its healthy food. They have a good clean swimming pool. I wouldn't recommend the spa though."
