"Loved this property! The Brakeman Hotel entrance also contained the Basin St. Station which is the city of New Orleans' welcome center with adjoining landscaped parking for visitors. The first floor contains a staffed visitor information center featuring educational community exhibits, a performance venue, a walking tour kiosk, and an authentically New Orleans and Louisiana gift shop! The first floor is not a traditional hotel lobby per se but guests have access to the building entrance with the use of their room key. This safety measure was very reassuring, especially after the doors are closed to the public in the late afternoon. Our deluxe room was very nice with a comfy king bed and a wonderful view overlooking St Louis Cemetery No.1 and looking towards the French Quarter."

"The interior garden with the pool is a great way to relaxe in the afternoon before going out to the city at night. I would recommend this hotel to every one. Safe, Clean, quiet, relaxe, great breakfast, friendly staff, confortable beds. They clean the pool, swipe the leafs in the garden and wash the tiles every morning! Fenced parking. Special mention to Ty, who seems to do a lot downstairs. He even tends the bar!"
