"This hotel is great and we couldn’t fault our stay until check out time..... we had already paid for the hotel prior to our stay yet we were asked to pay again for the room! Apparently the hotel has recently changed hands and there is some issue with the accounts transferring over so the hotel isn’t currently receiving the payments people are paying ( going to the old company). "American style, room size is comfortable. Nice, safe place."

"Lovely place to stay out of town and surrounded by beautiful gardens. There is a bus about 50m away that goes to York. Great place to stay and explore the area, then come home to an excellent spa and gym. Only grizzle is that the pillows weren’t great and I think if you’re staying there you should get a spa towel without paying for it! Make sure to book any spa treatment or restaurant early as they book out. "
