Lovely place.
Nice place, lovely friendly staff, room was clean and modern, food was excellent, lovely sun trap beer garden out the back, we only had a one night stay as we were passing through but I'd happily stay there again.

All the staff were lovely. Friendly and helpful, nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The room itself was pleasant but far too hot and the fan was not adequate.

Would Come Back
Pros: On site Parking, Wi-fi, Quality Room - Bed and Bathroom, Well cleaned, good central location in Highworth. Night key if returning to room late. Good Customer Service from Hotel Management. Pleasant bar staff. Nice ambience in the evening. Niggles: TV freeview service in room with usual cable service options (Netflix, Amazon Prime etc) with sign in. No room booklet/instructions to explain how to access these services or whether they were paid for services. 30 min timer on extractor fan each time I used bathroom (I timed it). Breakfast. Pleasant but my non full English breakfast option looked sparce on the plate in comparison to the full breakfast option. Could do with beefing up. If Hotel hosting event rear carpark gets full and there is not convenient parking options nearby (offsite). Nearly couldn't park one night of my stay arriving 8.30pm.

This is an old Hotel and has such old staircases. Although situated on a busy road junction is very quiet inside. The evening dinner was excellent taken from a good menu

Overall good stay, bad service at breakfast
Beautiful hotel and amazing room! Nice and clean. Breakfast, got a coffee after 5 minutes of waking, had to wait another 20 minutes for the waiter to take my order. I had to leave as I had a meeting so missed breakfast. Only 5 guests in the breakfast room! Chef could of helped out, but said it was down to the water! No team spirit and poor customer service.

Great location, old style building with up to date decor and comfort. From checkin to checkout the staff were prompt, efficient and couldn't be more welcoming.

The first night we were the only guests. The room was to warm. No sleeping in due to the nise from the street. Breakfast was suppose to be from 8-10 but, no show. The town is dead.

Hi Joy, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review even though it is slightly disappointing. You were not the only guests staying on your first evening but you were the only guest for breakfast the next morning. You requested breakfast in your room which is not something we usually offer however we try our best to make guests happy so we agreed. You had asked for breakfast at 8:30am but when I arrived just before 8am you had already left and a note to say you had gone to bath. You spoke a few times that day with my colleague and mentioned the following morning you would be leaving early as were driving to Scotland so would not require breakfast that morning either. We do show up.. Sorry the room was warm, there are fans in all of our bedrooms. I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip. Kind regards Mark

Hard hotel to find with car park thru a arch at the rear of property, do not service lunch nor drinks on a Monday or Tuesday. Room spacious and clean walls very thin and could clearly hear lady next door on the phone all evening, good night sleep.

Very expensive for the advertised "boutique" experience. Yes there was discounts to be had against the bar and restaurant bill, but the bar is not open on Mondays and Tuesdays!

Nicest hotel I've stayed at.
Probably the nicest hotel I've stayed at. The room was extremely clean, as was the bathroom and the bed was very very comfortable. I arrived on a Sunday and had the chance to try their amazing roast dinner which I'd definitely recommend. Accessing the parking may be a tad tricky if you own a 4x4 or SUV due to the narrow archway but the average saloon or hatchback should be fine. Only recommendation I could offer for next time would be to have a hairdryer in the room, although I'm sure that would have been sorted quickly if I'd asked the staff. Look forward to visiting again when not on business!

Wedding night .
Overall, I can't really comment as I didn't stay there . I booked this room for my son and his new bride as it was near to the wedding reception so they didn't have to organise transport home . From their feedback, the room was excellent for the location. The room was clean and very tidy and a joy to stay in , hence the score's .

Great hotel
I love this place. Rooms are so comfortable. We had a lovely dinner but the service was very slow and a bit disjointed. Think they must have lots of new and not quite fully trained staff? When this is sorted out it will be top notch.

A lovely period property in the heart of the small town of Highworth. Spacious rooms with excellent facilities. Friendly staff. Parking is at the back of the hotel and negotiating the narrow arch/tunnel to access it is interesting!

Room and hotel clean and modern . Stag helpful and pleasant. Food in Restaurant and at breakfast Great. One minus this hotel doesn’t have a lift so if your room is on the top floor as ours was you must be able to climb a few flights of stairs. We were offered a change of room but stuck where we booked. But this never spoilt our night away.

Staff were amazing, beds are comfy, food excellent, parking good. The only and i really mean only fly in the ointment was the poor Wi-Fi which if you are a business person could be a deal breaker. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would stay again

Not having a reception and carrying luggage into a busy bar wasn’t ideal after a long drive. The room was cold when I arrived with no heating on. The car park was behind the hotel and perhaps a warning of where it is and how narrow the entrance is would be helpful as I didn’t see signs arriving at night. The service at breakfast was the high point!

Friends wedding close by
One night away, for friends wedding taking place in wrag barn 5 min taxi journey, lovely room very comfortable stay would definately go back no downside, bath a little high when stepping out of but nicely decorated good taste all round very happy with our stay would definately recommend.
