"Excellent hotel. The property and room were well kept up, very clean. The breakfast area was clean, well stocked, and the hot items were constantly being refilled. The most important thing for me and my bad back is always the bed. I choose Marriott specifically because their beds are superior than other similar priced properties... and yep. The bed was comfortable, pillows were great quality. AND THE STAFF. Super friendly and helpful. Just overall excellent. Cons: Parking was $10 per night, which isn't bad but in this area it really should be free. Also the bathroom/barn door is incredibly stupid and I can't wait for that trend to die. I do not like that the bathroom light turns on automatically when entering."

"The property is beautiful and nice. My wife and booked this for a one night get away. We were really looking forward to our time on the patio (since we paid significantly extra for beach front). The whole time we were there a man was doing construction right outside of our patio on tables and chairs. It was a BIG let down. I wish they would have warned us to err was going to be construction. We would have waited before spending that kind of money on a one night stay. We could not enjoy the beach views because of the loud saw and tools."

"We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was reasonably priced and the location was excellent—just a short walk to Main Street, where there are plenty of restaurants, shops, and things to do. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We were especially grateful to the front desk agent at check-in, who suggested a mountain view room. It was noticeably quieter than the ocean/freeway side and made our stay much more enjoyable. The hotel offers a nice pool and hot tub, although the freeway noise near the pool area can be a bit distracting. We also appreciated the complimentary evening snacks and drinks, which were a nice touch. Breakfast was included as well, though we unfortunately slept in and missed it. Another standout feature was the generous check-in and check-out times, which were earlier and later than many other hotels we've stayed at. Overall, this was a comfortable, convenient stay."

"The property was nice and well located. Close to nice restaurants and stretch of beach. It was easy to catch our boat to Channel Islands. Our room was not pleasant though. Floors were dirty and sticky. Towels and sheets scratchy. Mattress and pillows were lumpy. AC worked but not well. Hopefully it was just our room."
