Great close to transportation lots of good food

Lots of noise.
Hotel is cheap. You get what you pay for. Rooms are old and so are the facilities. Breakfast is included but it's only OJ, coffee and toast. That's it. Staff is alright. Facilities are old and not well cleaned. Major turn off is that it's located next to a busy street, if you do stay there try to get located away from the street. It is extremely noisy.

Ok for the price
I took this hotel mainly because it is part of a large chain and because the price seemed like a bargain. Also, knowing Mexico City I knew it was very close to a subway station, which would allow me to move around the city. They wouldn't allow early check in. so I had to wait a few hours to get checked in, mostly becasue they don't have personnel early to clean rooms. The place is dated. I'd suggest asking for a room that is not on the big avenues side unless it is more than three stories high. In my room there were a couple things that weren't too good, for instance, the drawers were clunky. They give you a tiny soap tablet, not enough for two people. As a general rule of thumb, food in Mexico City is way above US average. Well, the food in this hotel's restaurant was far below such classification. The buffet in the trays was cold. I wouldn't say anything would it be included, but it wasn't. All and all, if they keep their price under 30 Dlls, I'd come back, why not. We get what we pay for, and the place does have some convenient features and now that I know it, I know what to expect On the positive side, I felt safe, which in Mexico City is a very important thing to have.

Loved the restaurant
The room was clean and comfortable. We chose this hotel because it was close to the places we wanted to visit. The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious. All the employees were courteous. There is a farmacy right next to it which was convenient. The bed was hard and shower didn't have a lot of pressure but other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Hotel is a steps to the subway.
There was poofy hair between the shower sliding door , the bath mat was all covered in all mildew stain . I don't recommend it to be a family hotel because the wall so thin you hear EVERYTHING even intimate things. For me it will be the first and last time I visit this hotel .

Bad experience stay.
There was hair in the shower , the shower mats had mildew stain and there was poofy hair between the sliding screendoors , the bed was hard I slept very uncomfortable. I don't recommend it to be a family hotel because the walls were so THIN you could hear intamite things and I mean EVERYTHING , Thank you very much but this will be the first and LAST time here .

Crazy privacy rule, Slow WIFI
WIFI slow, Heater not working well, but the big problem in the hotel is the privacy rule, we want to have a meeting with my family that leave in Mexico, in the room, and we have to request authorization of the manager to let my brother go to the room, first time in all my live traveling for the world.

Refreshing stay in Mexico City~!
Everything was excellent except that I was in a room with ONLY air conditioning, so I could make the room cooler but not warmer and it was quite chilly when I was there. Make sure and ask for a room that has HEAT as an option and not just COLD air conditioning.

Would not stay there again
The only reason I stayed there was because of the low price. And boy did I get what I paid for. First of all, the hotel lobby smells badly. In the room there is only ONE electrical outlet which is far away from bed so it's really inconvenient. Also, you can hear people in the next rooms even if they sneeze. The wi-fi is terrible, I could barely send emails (it took forever), the hotel food is average, the couch in my room had a big stain which I don't know what it was so I never sat down there. The bed pillows are like cardboad boxes. Anyway. Bad experience overall. Would not stay there again.

Nice hotel but poor restaurant.
Nice hotel close to a metro stop but on a busy road with few restaurants nearby. Our stay was let down by the restaurant where the food was poor and the waiter rude.

3rd time around staying at this hotel, says it all, but I'll repeat it again: Good location (2 steps from Metro Ermita station - Line 2), rooms cleaned everyday, free WiFi in the rooms and public areas, friendly and kind staff.

Excellent location. Excellent for the price.
Everything ok, except the iron needs to be requested at the lobby, and have to ask for more soaps and shampoo, but well located (steps away from subway station), excellent for the price.

The hotel was good, the room is very ample, the avenue has pro, is located in a cloudy place and close to the Metro, but appear be something unsafe. The room is nice, and huge.

Will not stay there again
I will not stay there again. You can hear everything from the room next to you and if someone is in the hallway you can hear them even better. It was old and outdated. The location is not the greatest sort of law end hotel. Restaurant downstairs does not have many options for food and food is not that great either. Staff was fine and helpful and nice. Room had shower plugged and the sink was the same as well, but all of the accommodations were very old. No plugins close to the bed, so very inconvenient.

I wanted to see the Coyoacan area and the hotel was ideally suited for my needs since the cab trip was less than 15 minutes away. The hotel was clean, the personnel friendly and would confidently go there again

Clean, good service but noisy
The cleanliness and service were great but they put us on the 1st floor main street side and it was very noisy. If I would have been there more days I would have definitely complained.

Clean and simple
The hotel was clean and simple. Not loving the bullet proof glass at the reception area. The TV reception was horrible, lot's of snow the on the screen. My no smoking room really smelled like cigarettes. Only stayed here because it was close to friends. Plus things: Across the street from the metro station that has 2 lines.

This hotel is in a good location for the metro, other wise a bit of a disappointment , the hotel is rundown and the staff could do with training , they are quick to tell you what not do do rather then help you, the manager is nice(Carlos) but the fact that he had to apologise so many times tells it's own story, The owners need to invest because they could have a good modern hotel again?

Good experience overall
Conveniently located for the purpose of my trip. Close to metro station and major road to downtown and south city areas. Bed was a little hard but it's a convenience over luxury hotel. Staff was very attentive and friendly as you would expect in Mexico City.

Good value for money, metro station nearby.
Near Ermita metro station (line 2) extremmely handy to go anywhere in Mexico city. Friendly and helpful staff. You need to leave 200 pesos (around 10 pounds) deposit for the TV control remote but they were returned when checking out. Affordable breakfast buffet in case you do not want the complementary continental breakfast. Safe deposit box very handy in the room (free of charge), and WiFi (free) in rooms and public areas of the hotel. The rooms look a little bit tired but the rooms are cleaned everyday. Noise is bereable comming from one of the major arteries named Tlalpan avenue and the metro station, but you can ask to be moved to a quieter room.

The hotel is niice, good location for my busines, the only complain is that the breakfast they served is very simple, American Breakfast? (1 cup of coffee, 2 toast and orange juice) for the money you pay a least they should have more options.

Great Hotel!
Nice comfortable hotel. Check in is slow and staff does not seem to know that in order to book a room through Expedia, you need to pay right at the time of booking. The staff will ask customers if they have already paid and take some time to verify that. That makes the check in process even slower.

WOOOOOOOOOOW HONESTLY IT DOESN'T WORTH IT IT COST 120 MEXICAN DOLLARS (BUFFET..... IF U LIKE MEXICAN FOOD GREAT# FOR TWO REAL CHEAP BUT IT'S NOT A BREAKFAST AS USUAL WITH FRESH BREAD CROISSANT ETC... THE LOCATIN IS SO SO CAUSE U HAVE TO TAKE THE SUBWAY IF U WANT TO GO DOWNTOWN NOT FOR THE COST BUT THE TIME U SPEND IN #3 CENTS MEXICAN DOLLARS = 0.3 CENT US DOLLARS ONE WAY) IT'S SAFE BUT CROWDED ALL THE TIME ARROUND THE HOTEL HONESTLY NOTHING TO DO. Thank you in advance for your comments. Perhaps our location was not totally clear, so we have prominently displayed the distance between the city's downtown and the hotel (4.1 mi). Also the name of the property now says "south" as indicator. In addition to this, now the staff of the three of our front desk shifts has the knowledge to respond your inquiries in English. We continue to promote our Buffet Breakfast that offers ten varieties of hot dishes, plus fresh fruit selection, two alternatives of juice, coffee, tea, milk, 6 cereal alternatives and local sweet bread; for a cost of $140 Mexican pesos. Our American Breakfast includes eggs cooked any style, juice, coffee or tea is served for $ 118 Mexican pesos. Our Continental Breakfast offers, selection of sweet bread, juice, coffee or tea for $ 70 Mexican pesos. Tips not included. You're more than welcome to visit our property again on your next trip to Mexico City. The Ramada Via Veneto team.

Conveniently located, very clean...
The hotel was better than i expected. Nice spacious room, with Pergo floors and flat screen TV. A bit noisy area, but in Mexico City that is expected. Silly rules, but i think that's a cultural issue. I wanted to use the telephone for local calls and you need to fill out a credit card voucher for that. And need to clarify if you want other charges to that voucher, because they won't apply them unless you tell them to. Guests have to pay $300 (Pesos) to get a remote control for the TV. Overall it was a good hotel to stay at and I will probably go back because the room was very nice and clean, and the breakfast food at the restaurant very good.

Hi The hotel is really good in terms of convienence as it is touching the highway and few minutes from Ermita station, however if cannot survive without internet (like me) it is not recommended at all. Rest all was comfortable.
