“Great hotel, staff and room imrpvments needed”
Our room was situated next to the housekeeping room which meant in the early hours you could hear staff talking loudly and moving things about this kept us awake. Also early hours of one morning we were interrupted at 6.45am by housekeeping banging on our door and a call from reception telling us we needed to open our door. I explained to them that they must of had the wrong room and they hung up. As we left our room for the day later in the morning I discovered a ironing board in a doorway. I explained to the receptionist of a possible mistake/interuption but she didn't seem to bothered or concerned. When we explained that the room was too hot or it was noisey she threw quick answers back at us such as.. It was noisey becuase we had a housekeeping emergency or it was hot becuase I proberly didn't set the conditioning right and even the reason why your fridge was warm is because you didn't alter the thermostats at the rear of the unit?? Also mark on the floor, Again reception did not seem to bothered or concerned. view from the room was terrible, showing builders toilet scaffolding and netting. If the mirror and tv swooped locations it would make viewing a lot better, and my partner not having to stretch across the bed to do her hair. Overall good hotel, staff need to be more caring and apologetic and the room layout and scenery could be improved.
“A great one night stay.”
Staff helpful, nicely decorated. Room comfortable with air conditioning and TV, nice shower. Better bed than most hotels. Wifi requires a code purchase £50 deposit required upfront which is returned No real complaints!
“Perfect hotel for seeing London”
Very close to tube station. Excellent staff..very helpful. Air conditioning wouldn't work and was fixed very promptly with apology. Room clean and comfortable. Shower the best I've used in a hotel. No window in room but not a problem at all. Lovely breakfast too. Will stay there again.
“For two students, for a long weekend? Perfect.”
My girlfriend and I went down for her birthday. Spent two nights in a lovely room - one of the cheapest due to our student budget - and it was very nice. Tidy, well kept, nice big bath and shower. We didnt try the restaurant but it looked really good. Staff were helpful and patient - especially when we put our bag away for safekeeping after checkin out - only to remember we'd left our Oyster Cards in there. The receptionist didnt mind getting back up to unlock the door and help us out. Overall, very good. Would visit again. I'm sure the higher end rooms are even nicer!
“Freebie not passed on”
When I had an issue there that upset me on my last time of staying with my fiance (it was the 3rd), the recepcionist offered me his apologies and asked me if I wanted a continental breakfast served IN MY ROOM, as no breakfast at all was included in my booking. I happily said yes, it'd be lovely. But, as he did not ask me the time I'd want it, then in the next morning at around 9:45 I phoned the reception to ask the time it could be served. To my disappointment it apparently wasn't noted down to the recepcionist in the morning that I had a complimentary breakfast to be served in my room. It was only noted down that I had an issue about a soft toy. Although the recepcionist did let us have our breakfast, but she said we had to go the restaurant and have it there unless we'd pay for the service to our room. It kind of disappointed us again plus we had only woken up, so by the time we had our showers and get ready it'd be almost time to the restaurant be closed for breakfast. As it was our last day of a 3-night-staying then we had no chance to enjoy our complimentary freebie. It was a shame :(
“Very Pleased with our stay”
Nice hotel in very convenient area just off Bakerloo line. Would stay again.
“Small and cosy”
The standard room we had was small yet cosy. Storeage space was tight but it was sufficient for a two night break/business trip for two adults. The hotel is located on Kiburn High Road so easy to find and close to surface rail, bus stops and Kilburn Park underground. The high street has all you'd expect: banks, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. On the underground it takes about 25 minutes to get to most locations in central London.
“would go back”
hotel was very clean and qite nicelly furnished, room was a bit small and dark, only small window, bedside and centre light not working and although we reported it to reception 3 times it did'nt get repaired, but the receptionist did apologise and we were given a free English breakfast and 2 small bottles of wine, but I would rather have had some light in the roome ,except for this we would have been very pleased, location was good for us, plenty of busses stop outside.
“Great choice for tourists”
Check in was very easy and fast. Room was really nice, comfortable and very clean.Every request was attended to professionally and promptly. Downside is the parking access - no parking around the hotel, pick up /drop off has to be brisk -typical London issue. Kitchen closed about 9pm so no food after that time. Staff could do more in terms of warmth and reception of guests.Had to take up my luggage by myself with no offer of assistance from the staff. Otherwise was a pleasant stay and good value for money. Lovely area...would definitely stay again.
“Great Hotel”
This hotel was brilliant for my needs, the staff were proffesional and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was good but not great, though as it was included in the price I do not have any complaints.
