Lovely hotel, great location

Posted 11-Apr-2014
A lovely hotel in the heart of London. Very clean and very comfortable. Misleading advertisement of internet in room - would have had to pay a extra £7.50 for wifi! A gym would be great.

My second stay here

Posted 25-Mar-2014
Pros: Friendly staff, nice breakfast, comfortable double bed, rain showerhead!
Cons: Closet light has a motion detector and turns on every time you move, including at night when you're sleeping and roll over -- at first this was scary!
Location: Islington/Angel is full of wonderful restaurants. My favorite is Thai Square, across the road. A bit pricy but worth it. Also ASK Italian next door.
Lovely hotel convenient to the Angel and Islington area. Rooms are comfortable, quiet (facing courtyard), large beds, large TV, great breakfast. The staff is very friendly, especially in the breakfast room. I will stay here anytime I need to be in this area for business.

Nice hotel near Angel

Posted 10-Feb-2014
Pros: friendly staff, location, comfortable pillows
This was my second trip to London's Islington area within the past two months. The previous visit, I stayed at Citadines St Mark's, which is a few blocks from the Hilton and has similar ratings. Although it was a little more expensive, I prefer the Hilton far and away above the Citiadines. Why? Overall, I felt the Hilton was cleaner, had more comfortable bedding and amenities (room service, restaurant), and was in a better location. I would stay at this Hilton again.

Short walk to Sadlers Wells

Posted 28-Jan-2014
Pros: The staff.
Cons: We were pleased to see a large bottle of water in our room but if we drank it, it would cost us £3.95, the booking cost £173, the water should be free
Location: Camden passage and Sadler's Wells.
My granddaughter and I stayed here for one night whilst seeing San Lake at Sadler's Wells. Our room was clean, fairly spacious and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet had a good selection of hot and cold choices. The most impressive thing was that my twelve year old granddaughter realized ( on the train home!) that she had lost her purse, I rang the hotel, one of the housekeeping staff went up to our room, searched under the bed and found the purse. They are post it back to us.

Convenient & Clean Hotel in the Heart of London

Posted 22-Jan-2014
Pros: Quiet, large rooms, location and breakfast
Cons: Bedding could be a bit softer
Location: Plenty of restaraunts, shops and centrally located near businesses.
Overall my experience was good. I travel to London a few times a year for business purposes and I often stay at this hotel. Previously, this hotel was ungoing renovations so I was pleasantly surprised to find that renovations have been completed. The rooms are spacious which is somewhere of a rarity in London and they are always very clean. Room service and front desk staff are prompted and friendly. The breakfast service is great; offering a full variety of items including fruits, cheeses, traditional English breakfast items, eggs, bacon, sausages and hashbrowns in addition to a variety of juices, tea and coffee. My only complaint this time around was the bedding (seems to be too hard) but that might just be my own level of comfort. The local is great in the heart of the Angel district near to my office and surrounding by restaraunts and shops. Overall it was a good stay (4 nights) and I'm sure I will be back!

Perfect Stay

Posted 07-Jan-2014 on Hotels.com
The Hilton brand is always reliable and the Hilton Islington exceeded my expectations which were already high. The hotel is in an excellent vibrant area of London yet quiet for a good nights sleep. The room was spacious and comfortable. Overall excellent value for money and I strongly recommend the hotel to other travellers.
