There was a hiccup during my first day. I found a long strand of hair on the pillow. I already complained about that here so I will not write about it all over again. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good.

Had an amazing stay at 54 Queen's Gate Hotel - the cleanliness stood out from the moment you entered the building. All the staff I came into contact with, were polite and attentive. The room itself was amazing, felt and looked clean. The bed was so comfortable - would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay here and hopefully I'll return again myself. Thanks all at 54 Queen's Gate for an amazing and memorable stay

This is a beautiful, quaint, boutique hotel with friendly, attentive staff. The location was perfect for me, as I view London as a “walking town”. I love to be near Hyde Park. This place is nestled into a block of row houses, just a few blocks South of Hyde Park and immediately across the street from the Natural History Museum. (Near fine dining, Pubs, and even a Whole Foods Grocery, if you’d rather grab a premade sandwich and have a picnic in the park). Both the housekeeping and front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. They do offer breakfast at an additional charge, but I prefer to go exploring, so I didn’t try their breakfast.

Excellent location for Albert Hall
A fantastic location for our stay - we were seeing a concert at the Albert Hall. Excellent service from start to finish. We really liked the theme for each room - based around famous local residents. The room was cosy but well decorated. Sadly there was a crack in the sink held together by tape and the shelf above the sink was loose and wonky. Minor things but I would expect greater attention to detail at this price.

Very nice small quiet hotel. Perfect for us museum lovers, since it's next to The Natural History Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum. It is also a very short walk from Harrods department store. The subway is a couple of blocks away and was very easy to use. The hotel serves a nice breakfast if you want to have a good meal before heading out for the day. Very friendly staff. We had a great time.

Nice Hotel, however let down by the finer detail!
I contacted the hotel prior to our stay to explain the trip was for my wife’s 50th Birthday, they acknowledged this and said they would make it “Unforgettable” however upon arrival we was taken to the wrong room, they apologised which was fine as mistakes happen so then we was taken to the correct room but the key didn’t work again. Nothing was put or laid out in the room like we have stayed at hotels before when it’s been a celebration. They never acknowledged it was her birthday at any point during our stay. Not only that but the Coffee machine in the room wasn’t working which I didn’t find out until the morning of our departure so told them when we checked out. Overall it was an average stay with all the staff being pleasant and the place being tidy however I’m sorely disappointed they made no effort in making it “unforgettable”

Disappointed in our room. It had a nice refurbished bathroom with a shower only. The problem was it was a room with a bed in it. The closet was tiny, and ZERO dressers. We had an emergency with flooding, and had to vacate the hotel. 10 PM on a Sunday night. Expedia quickly found us a wonderful alternative. The staff was A .

Great room. My only complaint: I asked desk to schedule early taxi to Paddington on checking out. It was dark, I didn’t realize he’d called a limo service; anyway too late to cancel, get taxi. Cost 25 pounds, way more than a taxi! I was not happy.

This is a lovely hotel in a great location. The check in and check out was good. Bedroom nice and comfortable. As a man with short hair I was just concerned about the long brown hairs in the bathroom. I’ll give them one more try as it’s a nice hotel but they need to clean the bathroom properly.,

I stayed in the single room (it was tiny) but comfortable and had a lovely big bathroom. The shower was fantastic and there was a Nespresso coffee machine in the room. Room service every day so I felt happy coming back to a nice, freshly made up room. Bathroom robe, slippers, ironing board and safe in the closet. It was a close walk to the Picadilly line and a 10 minute walk to Kensington Palace. I would definitely stay there again.

I loved this little hotel. It’s only 24 rooms. Very quiet. Very clean. The staff were very friendly. It had everything I needed. The only thing that was an issue was the climb up 4 flights of stairs with a heavy suitcase. Having a bad shoulder it was a struggle. The lift was out of service. That being said, I would definitely stay here again but I would just check to make sure the lift was working.

Convenient for Royal Albert Hall and station. Was not offered upgrade, although we were offered what we considered a downgrade in basement. Insisted they changed the room. Definitely no VIP treatment

The property was fantastic. Very simple and clean. Great if you are not looking for luxury, but had all the necessities. The location can not be beat. Close to all kinds of eating and shopping. They gave me a copy of the invoice, which showed the daily charge about $912. I paid Expedia $1227. The difference was Taxes and Fees ($192) and $72 for Hotel Booking Protection. I will probably go directly to the hotel next time because I paid an extra $264, which meant that I bought 4 nights and paid for an extra one!

54 Queens Gate Hotel is quaint, clean, and conveniently located in South Kensington. The historic building is beautifully furnished with interesting photographs on the walls. The breakfast is delicious and the attendants working there are just lovely people. One of the lifts was not working so this is not a good option if you need disability accommodations, but if you don’t mind walking the stairs it is a fantastic place to stay. I hope to be back again someday soon.

Lovely comfortable hotel. I slept fairly well in a comfy bed. I was in the basement which was a little dark and I could hear noise above me in the morning from the breakfast room. The light over the coffee machine was missing so this made it difficult to use - I had to use my phone light even with the main bedroom lights on. But otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would certainly return.

Good hotel - lovely rooms and really convenient for Royal Albert Hall. Breakfast is the only thing that lets things down slightly - mainly continental offering with very limited cooked options.
