We booked the Royal Ramblas for a two night stay in October, without ever having been to Barcelona. We couldn't have made a better choice! Beautiful boutique hotel, located on the renowned ‘Las Ramblas’, a block away from Barcelona’s Placa Catalunya and metro system, it’s literally just minutes from their famous market, Gothic quarter, and Placa Reial, with numerous restaurants and bars. The staff all spoke English and were very helpful. Our very modern room, which overlooked Las Ramblas, had beautiful big windows, which actually opened, and a very comfortable king size bed. It had everything, and more that one could need, unless you are from North America… as in Spain they don’t seem to use or provide facecloths! We would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat!
We arrived in Barcelona via the Aerobus which stops at the Plaza Catalunya. The hotel is located just a few steps from the bus stop. It is also across from the tour buses at the end of Las Ramblas. The hotel is of modern décor and the room was very comfortable. A wonderful buffet breakfast is available in the morming. Staff was very friendly and we had no trouble with our late arrival.
Me and my partner were very happy with our stay at the oriente atiram, staff were very helpfully and friendly, room was very tidy and everything we needed for our stay, we would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with the Raco del Pi. Our room, altho small, was clean, well designed and very comfortable. We had just come from a very bad hotel experience in Paris so this was even more appreciated. We highly recommend this hotel.
Being new to Barcelona, the staff could not have been more helpful! Great tips on where to eat (not 5 star, but not total budget either) and how best to spend a couple days to see the highlights, with rain about half the days.
Hotel was contemporary, had elevators, very quiet yet right on La Ramba. Only slight misgiving was the beds were a little firm for half the group. Just fine for the other half. Restaurant attached to the hotel was OK, but better within minutes walk. Watch for where the locals are eating, usually better and less expensive, but Barcelona in not an inexpensive city to visit.
