1 star Hotels in Detroit

My grandson stayed here. He really likes this hotel. He tells me this is his favorite hotel. he's here quite often.

I was very happy with Stay Inn. The neighborhood seemed safe, the staff was polite and helpful. When I ran into trouble with the magnetic card controlling my room's door they transferred me to a different (and larger) room at no extra charge.

It is an old hotel/motel. For the price paid it was OK. I think the current owner(s) have done about a good of a job in keeping it up as they can. It's Ok for the price, but you're not getting tthe Ritz. I would stay there again.

I knew that the hotel was not going to be the Four Seasons, but the condition of the room at this Knights Inn was disgusting. The first room we were given smelled of mildew and there were 'short curly black hairs' on the sink counter. It was relatively clear to me that the room had had the bed made, but it was not cleaned otherwise. After complaining about the quality of the cleaning in the room, we were moved to another room that had an air-conditioner that leaked water inside the room. If you stood next to the A/C, your feet would get soaked. I think it goes without saying that this room smelled like mildew as well. All in all I would give this hotel a D-. I didn't get robbed or catch any diseases, but they could still be in the incubation period ;). Do your self a favor and spend the extra $15 per night to stay somewhere else.

My flight was delayed and was rescheduled for next day. I booked a cheapest hotel from one night stay close to airport. this hotel is apparently in need of a remodel or update. But the room is clean with an TV, microwave and fridge. AC is a bit loud but working fine. It's good for an overnight stay. Staff is polite and helpful.

Hope they keep maintaining the quality with the same competitive rates. Hotels staffs are very friendly, the breakfast is very nice and had variety. Keep it up.
