The room was nice and clean. The foods delicious. The entire staff was amazing

Resort is great but pool is missing a lot of tiles and ripped up all over. Definitely needs to be worked on. Staff, amenities, resort was all great otherwise.

4/5 stars. This would have easily been a 5-star stay if management had handled one unresolved issue better. We reported a broken ceiling fan and bedroom TV shortly after checking in. The fan was eventually fixed, but despite multiple calls and being told a ticket was submitted, the bedroom TV never worked during our entire 4-night stay. What disappointed me most wasn’t the TV—it was the lack of follow-up. No manager reached out, no apology, and no effort to make things right. The staff tried, but management dropped the ball. That said, the employees made this vacation special. A huge thank you to Estephanie, who became our unofficial concierge. She helped with restaurant recommendations, reservations, a special meal, and even did everything she could after our reserved World Cup table was mistakenly given away. Angela was attentive and welcoming throughout the event, and Pedro at the nightclub made some of the best (and strongest!) cocktails on the property. Wilinda was also incredibly friendly and made us feel at home. Special shoutout to all three Joses bellmen who helped us throughout the stay. Sorry, guys—I didn’t write down your last names! 😅 You all were professional, friendly, and represented Zel beautifully. The food was excellent everywhere, the rooms were clean, the resort was peaceful, and the tropical atmosphere was exactly what we wanted. I’d absolutely return—hopefully next time with a working bedroom TV and a little more management accountability.
