The staff upon checkin were very pleasant and the room was very clean. A coffee station and fridgerator were provided in the room. There was a luggage rack and room in a closet for a 2nd suitcase. The bathroom was very small and the shower confusing. We had to check with the lobby to find out how to get hotter water. The lobby area was spacious with a hot breakfast served for an extra fee. A lounge was on another level with Agnes and Smantha very helful. Light bites could be ordered in the lounge. Great location. We used the BigBus company to tour 47 different hop on hop off sites. One of their stops was a short walk from the hotel near Trafalgar Square. Did leave behind comparession knee highs folded up in a hand towel. When I called the next day, the lady at the front desk was not very helpful. Said she talked to housekeeping and they did not find anything. I am guessing they found them while laundering and threw them away. They were expensive. No laundry facilities there, but they did have air conditioning.

We stayed for 10 nights at Citadines Holborn-Covent Garden and found the hotel to be perfectly adequate overall. The location was excellent and the room was comfortable and functional for an extended stay. Having a kitchenette was especially convenient. That said, there were a few things that kept the stay from being exceptional. We frequently had to ask for basic supplies such as toilet paper and facial tissues. We also needed additional towels during our stay and eventually discovered where the towels were kept in the laundry area, which allowed us to get them ourselves. The laundry facilities were another disappointment. The washer & dryer system was unnecessarily complicated and difficult to figure out. For a property catering to longer stays, I felt the laundry setup could have been much more user-friendly. We received one room cleaning during our 10-night stay, which was fine, but we still found ourselves having to repeatedly request basic supplies. I understand that this is an aparthotel rather than a traditional hotel with daily housekeeping, but for a 10-night stay, a little more proactive attention to guests' needs would have made a difference. We didn't use the breakfast service, so I can't comment on the food itself. However, given the length of our stay, I would have appreciated being offered a reduced rate or some type of extended-stay incentive for breakfast. Overall, the hotel was fine. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't exceptional either.
