Lovely relaxing stay

The staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room was ready early when we arrived. The hotel was very calm and the guests extremely friendly. The restaurant was clean, food was good and it never felt overcrowded.

We booked this hotel expecting a four-star experience and paid extra for the premium upgrade. Unfortunately, it fell well short. The biggest disappointment by far was the food. Breakfast was genuinely poor, and the buffet seemed terrified of seasoning. If you're coeliac, vegetarian or especially lactose intolerant, the choice is extremely limited. The Mexican restaurant somehow managed to remove every trace of flavour from Mexican food, we actually walked out without finishing our meal. We didn't even bother with the Brazilian restaurant after seeing the lack of vegetarian options. The premium upgrade wasn't worth the money. Table service was erratic, the food only marginally better, and on the very day we upgraded I was charged for a beer I'd ordered an hour earlier. Technically within the rules? Yes. Needlessly petty Absolutely. The mattress was worn out and uncomfortable, but the biggest concern after the food was the cockroaches. We encountered them in our room, around the hotel eating areas, and even found a dead one in the corridor outside our room. We appreciate insects exist in the Canary Islands, but seeing them in guest accommodation and dining areas was concerning enough that we went out and bought our own insecticide spray. From Thursday onwards, heavy bass from a nearby beach stage continued until around 3am every night, making sleep difficult. The only real positive was the lovely lady who checked us in. I've stayed in better three-star hotels

Fantastic resort due to having 4 pools and direct beach access to 3 swimming lagoons with white sand beach , good food choices , now 20 years old tho. Mini golf course was nearly unplayable due to leaves and stones . Having 4 pools is brilliant , love the large saltwater one. Wok and Zen menu is too limited . Plenty of things too do. Just needs a refurb to bring it back to true 5 star status .
